“Forgiving God is the conversation of one who needed forgiveness.

In life, admitting that you are wrong is one of the hardest things to do. It hurts our pride and makes us feel that we no longer have the upper hand.

But when we do resolve to let LOVE lead the way, admit wrong and come back to the Father, regardless of what we have done, we acknowledge the work of the cross for US.

When we came back to the Loving Father, He is the one who shows us how LOVE operates – with no strings attached.

That kind of love draws us back so gently; yet it floors us with it’s capacity to love. So when I wrote this song, I needed forgiveness and I dreaded coming back to the Father. But I knew that I had to.

The enemy wants us to stay in guilt and shame, while God calls us to forgiveness and restoration. Then He forgets it!

And so, when I did come back to the Fathe, my heart was simply bursting at the seams from the overwhelming rush of acceptance that I felt.

Very much like the prodigal son.
